Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Catriona's Castle's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, adapted from the story written by the Brothers' Grimmincludes a kid-size bed in the forest, an assortment of gold & jewels, and 7 shovels for the dwarfs to dig in the mine. Other props include a dwarf's lantern, the witch's cauldron, magic potion, "glass" cover to lay over Snow White. and magic apple. Costumes for 30 include Snow White, Prince, 7 Dwarfs, King, Queen, Evil Queen, Magic Mirror, Castle, Dwarfs' cottage, deer, bunny, other animals in the forest, birds, witch, Castle guards, butterflies, and Prince's horse.

Our version of the story is not scary. Catriona's Castle never uses words like death, kill, or poison. Young children do not need to hear those words in the story. The huntsman takes Snow White to the forest and tells her to run away and never come back to the castle. The evil queen, after changing into a wicked witch, casts a spell on the apple saying that Snow White will sleep forever, and that "Only a love's first kiss will break the spell." We also tell the Prince that he doesn't have to really kiss Snow White!
